I dined in Rehovot with Chaim Weizmann. [Eliezer] Kaplan also dined with us. Weizmann asks what his role in the Kirya [government compound] is. After all the explanations, the situation is not clear to him nor desirable to him.
- In the afternoon a meeting of the Committee of Five. I reported on Moshe Sharett's affirmative answer and the basic arrangements [for the operation] in the south.
- At four government meeting [on the operation in the south - Operation Yoav].
