{P001} {0043-83} NewYork, 11.7.46 Dearest Mary - I didn't return to London as I thought, and I don't know when and whether I will return there soon. I hope you will be able to leave for Palestine without my presence in London. Mrs. Mendelson told me that as soon as your certificate arrives - you will be able to leave by air. I had to come over here again for a short visit - I am soon going back to Paris. While here, I ordered all the things you asked for - sheets, pillow cases etc. They will be despatched to Palestine at the first opportunity. I imagine that Amos is already home - in not very agreeable circumstances. The trouble I am afraid will not subside so soon, but I hope that a better time is to come. I myself don't know yet where I will go from Paris - either home, or to some other place, of my own choice or somebody's else's... My visit to the Isle-of-Man will now certainly be postponed, and you will have to tell me more about your Isle and your many people, when we meet in Tel-Aviv. My regards to your parents, David
