{P001} {0036-28} London, 15.2.47 Dearest Mary I cabled you already that your thing were after all discovered and being dispatched to you. It took some until we found out after my arrival to whom your mother sent your trunks. It is called Lep Transport. When we applied to them they knew nothing. We asked to make inquiries. They looked up their books and discovered that in August two trunks were sent to them from the Isle-of-Man for you without any further instructions so they put them away and forgot all about it. Later they in[?] their storage trunks, and asked for instructions. I don't know whose fault it was, but it does not matter now. Now I am sure you will get them in due time. I may leave London next week. After a short visit to Paris I will go home. it is a good thing they didn't compel you to be evacuated with Galia. Conditions in England are getting worse and worse. It is cold, in the evening again a blackout, electricity and gas cut down, food less than at the end of the war. The Labour Government have rather a bad time, and nobody knows what may happen later. Let us hope that they will able to straighten out things. {0036-29} Is your home finished already? How is Galia? Do you read Hebrew and read the books I gave you in Palestine? Be well. your David.
