– [Reuven] Shiloah cables from Rhodes (24.1900): “In the afternoon the talks resumed. The Jordanians agreed that the international border would serve as the armistice line from the Dead Sea to Eilat. Regarding the Hebron area, we assumed responsibility for submitting a map of the lines in light of the observers’ conclusions. Dan will prepare the map. The Jordanians harshly accused us of violating the agreement: capturing villages and positions after the signing, expelling inhabitants, etc. The question of reduction of forces will be discussed tomorrow in a military subcommittee.
