Tuesday, August 10, 1948 I left this morning by plane for Ramat David and the ma’abarot [immigrant transit camps] – the airfields. – In the afternoon a meeting of the Committee of Seven [Gruenbaum Committee]. ETZEL is standing its ground – I suggested loosening the control over them and if they don’t obey – to demolish them by force.
