During this period, most of Ben-Gurion’s attention was devoted to matters of security. Operation Nachshon was one of the most important turning points of the War. It had turned the tables – the Jewish side moved from defense to offence through a momentum of military victories. The Operation had also enabled the delivery of supplies to Jerusalem, and was a part of the strategic actions he had led.
