I informed the president of the government’s composition and I left to rest in Herzliya.
– 60,060 voted at the women workers’ conference. A – 34,957 – 58.2%; M – 20,500 – 34.1%; P – 2,048 – 3.4%; K – 1,254 – 2.1%; Sh – 1,301 – 2.2%.
For the office workers’ union LB / LG [?] 20,350. 15,389 voted 75.7%, 14,809 valid. A – 10,430 – 70.4%; M – 3,255 – 22%; P – 800 – 5.4%; Sh – 324 – 2.2%. Mandates: A – 107, M – 33, P – 8, Sh – 3.
The Security Council decided by a majority of nine against Egypt and with England abstaining to recommend that Israel be admitted to the UN.
