{P001} {0043-26} London, 5.5.46 Dearest Mary, I am leaving tomorrow early in the morning for Paris. on Tuesday Probably I will have a plane for New York. I asked yesterday my friends in is to tell Amos that I am coming, and if he can get leave - to come and meet me there. Mrs. Lily Mendelsen, a friend of mine who works in our office in London take care of all your needs when you come to London. She will get you a room nge for your passage and also see a Rabbi to turn you into a Jewess... I was y happy to hear that you have the blessing of your parents. If I return from States to England while you are still here, I may go to visit - if you wish me to do so. I heard today a distressing rumor which you may receive with satisfaction Jewish Brigade is to be disbanded very soon. I don't know whether it is true it is - then Amos would be discharged very soon, and you may go together to stine. In spite of that, I want the Brigade to stay and Amos to remain where e is. But I am afraid we may not be able to reverse the decision - if really it is a decision. Mrs. Mendelson will send you tomorrow the few things I got for you from Paris. I will give you my address in New York in case you care to send me a few words: c/o Jewish Agency, 342 Madison Avenue, New york City, N.Y. Yours, USA David
